According to Japanese Health Association, both the sciatica and lower back pain share common neuromuscular and skeletal causes ranging from herniated discs, fibromyalgia, inflammation, sports injuries, arthritis, spinal stenosis, lack of movement and improper postures nurtured over extended periods of time. The institution has conducted an extensive research and tests that lasted over the course of 5 years (2003 – 2008) and the results have been used to create a completely new method of self-treatment.
Current Medical Trends
When doctors consider back pain, they will review the diagnostics after conducting a series of tests. Diagnostics may arise from tendon reflex, x-rays, EMG, myelograms, CSF, and/or Laséque signs. CSF helps the doctor to analyze the increases in protein while EMG assists experts in viewing the involvement of the spinal nerves.
X-rays are used to help experts see the narrow disk space. Tendon reflexes are tested, which the doctors use tests to look deep into the depressed region, or the absent upper boundary reflexes, or in medical lingo the Achilles’ reactions or reflex. Myelograms assist the expert in seeing if the spinal cord is compressed.
Additional ways may include hot pads, moisture, etc, as well as hot compressions. Doctors often recommend pain meds as well, such as those with NAID. The pain meds include Motrin, Naproxen, Dolobid, or Diflunisal, Indocin, Ibuprofen, and so on. Additional meds may include muscle Relaxers, such as Flexeril and Valiums. The common Relaxers are Diazepam and Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride.
The assessments in medical terms are based on Lumbrosacral, which may include acute or chronic pain at the lower back. The pain may spread out to the buttocks and move toward the legs. The person may feel weakness, as well as numbness. In addition, such pain can cause tingling around the legs and feet. The final assessment may include ambulation, which emerges from the pain.
Physiotherapy, chiropractic adjustments and orthopedic mechanisms are also being prescribed to reduce back pain, which include cervical collars and back braces.
The Breakthrough Discovery Made in Japan
The back pain and sciatica share common causes. Both can thus be approached using the same method provided such a procedure attacks the underlying cause of the problem from two main angles.
The research has outlined a specific procedure that has been tested and finally considered as the most effective solution for alleviating and completely removing the pains associated with the above causes. According to Dr. Tadashi Okamura from the Institute of Clinical Studies in Tokyo, the method his team developed has proven to be more effective than most types of lumbar surgeries and physical therapies.
Tests have shown that over 94% of patients aged between 18 to 85 years was able to get rid of their lumbar and sciatic nerve pains within less than 7 days after being given anti-inflammatory herbal concoctions twice a day and performed a set of special static position exercises over the course of one week. The set of exercises was always performed in the early morning and lasted around 3 minutes.
Detoxification: Extinguish the Neuro-Muscular Inflammation
According to Dr. Okamura, the over 70% of any pains are the result inflammation of neuromuscular systems. Toxins tend to irritate the nerve that send pain signals to the brain. In order to achieve results in shortest time period regardless of what causes back pain or sciatica that body needs to be purified from the inside.
All his patients consume anti-inflammatory nutrients that are found in natural sources, especially in some herbs or their extracts. The herbal concoction can be easily prepared at home from easily available ingredients.
Musculoskeletal Decompression: Restoring the Original Position
Another perspective that needs to be considered when fighting the pains is the deformation of skeletal and muscular structure. Over the years, human bones, tendons, discs and muscles tend to move. Often into unfortunate positions that further press of nerves causing painful symptoms. Regardless of medical condition, patients are therefore also required to perform a physical routine that has the tendency to restore the original position of all relevant bodily components.
The Japanese Institute of Clinical Studies has developed a specific routine consisting of three easy-to-assume static positions that are focused on improving the three most important body parts into their correct position by using a correct angles of flexion.
Following three bodily components should be influenced using static postures in order to achieve restoration of relevant muscles, nerves and bone structures.
- Lumbar muscles and Spinal Discs L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, S1 and S2
- The Hip Flexors
- Piriformis Muscles
All three positions are to be maintained in relaxed supine position, preferably on the floor on the bed.
The Self-Treatment Approach from Tokyo
The Japanese Approach has recently become popular in the English speaking world. John McPherson and his team has been successfully running a private courses based on the Japanese System since 2014 for doctors, chiropractors and fitness gurus. His team has recently released FREE video presentation for general public.
