I’m often being asked what are the first 3 steps in my 7 day method of losing upper and lower back pain or sciatica. In commercial medical circles, there’s still a lot of misunderstanding how back pain or sciatica starts – particularly what causes it. And this is even more true when it relates to us, seniors.
The first thing I ask my patients is to use these 3 simple tips. They should be maintained for 1 to 2 days. If the pain doesn’t stop within 2 days, I know that the underlying cause is chronic and only then I am putting my clients on my 7 day ‘detox and decompress’ routine….regardless of whether my patients suffer from upper or lower back injury, pinched nerves, herniated and ruptured discs or arthritis….
Try them out, it’s isn’t a rocket science.
1. Drink a lot of water every day
I mean loads of it. You should drink at least 0.66 gal of fresh non-sparkling mineral water every day. Drinking water from tab is not recommended but it’s certainly better to drink water from a tab than being constantly dehydrated.
Water transports and distributes nutrients into every part of your body. Additionally, water also flushes away toxins stored in your muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons.
2. Get a good daily load of gelatine
Surprisingly you can find high dosage of gelatine in ice cream. Gelatine helps joints quickly recover from any degeneration and ruptures. If possible, get a gelatine rich ice cream with zero sugar or refined sugar replacement, such as stevia. Find out more about gelatine effects here.
Alternatively, you can use any gelatine supplement that’s available in your local store. In case you wonder, yes, many athletes do eat a lot of ice cream.
Especially those whose discipline is known to damage joints, such as power lifters and wrestlers.
3. Have plenty of yoghurt, cottage cheese or milk in the morning
These are the best sources of calcium that is proven to help in rebuilding your bones and ligaments.
Eventually, if you could sneak in a salad containing kale which is high in Vitamin D and fiber, your diet to relieve joint pain is just about fine.
